Wheat Experience

I had an interesting experience a couple of years ago. It happened to occur the same week that we were studying the story of Joseph in Egypt in The Old Testament, Come Follow Me curriculum. I had a reoccurring thought that I should restock of food storage of wheat. I had bought big white buckets of wheat at a local store the year before so I called to see if I could stop by to buy some more buckets. I was told that the store was moving to Texas and that they were giving away wheat for free! I went buy and got buckets of wheat. They also gave me a bucket of coconut oil and two cots. We have a wheat grinder and so I’ve learned how to grind wheat and use it to bake bread, pancakes, muffins etc. so we have certainly been using the wheat I brought home. I asked if it was ok to let other people know that they were giving away wheat and was told that I could. I was a little self-conscious to share the news with the people in my ward but then I had the thought come to mind, “I let you know about this because I knew you’d let others know.” So I went ahead and wrote a post in my ward Facebook group as well as telling some family and friends about it. It was a good way to experience how the Spirit sometimes speaks to me.
